Documentaries

Forks over Knives

This film chronicles the stories of Dr. T. Colin Campbell, a nutritional biochemist from Cornell University and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, a former top surgeon at the Cleveland clinic. Despite forging separate paths both of these esteemed doctors discovered through their research that most of the common diseases that affect our health can be improved or even reversed by eating a whole food, plant based diet, e.g. eliminating animal-based foods and processed foods.

PlantPure Nation

This amazing documentary was released in 2015. It follows the stories of three people that are dedicated to spreading the message of plant-based nutrition. Similar to Forks over Knives, this film will help you to understand why a whole food, plant-based diet is optimal for health and can help to reverse chronic conditions like obesity, heart disease and type 2 diabetes. 

What the Health

This film was released in 2017. While this film also investigates the impact of meat, fish, eggs and dairy products on human health, the film provides an excellent critique on the practices of our countries leading health and pharmaceutical corporations. 

The Game Changers

This is the one to watch for avid sports enthusiasts. This film was released in 2018 and it showcases success stories of athletes that have adopted a whole food, plant-based diet. The film also highlights scientific studies that favor the benefits of a plant-based diet for athletes and non-athletes alike.

Visit www.codebluedoc.com to watch this documentary. This is an incredible film that follows the story of Dr. Saray Stancic. Dr. Stancic was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis which left her severely handicapped at a very young age. By adopting a healthy, plant based diet and following other key principles of lifestyle medicine, Dr. Stancic was able to regain her health. This is an excellent film about the current health crisis our country faces.
